黎明生於北京，6歲移居香港，曾負笈英國；1986獲第五屆華星新秀歌唱大賽季軍後加入電視廣播有限公司，成為合約藝員。自1989年起，黎明出版超過60張唱片，被稱為香港樂壇「四大天王」之一。1987年，黎明開始參演電影，作品包括《妖獸都市》（1992）、《墮落天使》（1995）、《半生緣》（1997）、《真心英雄》（1998）、《不死情謎》（2001）、《雙雄》（2003）、《梅蘭芳》（2008）、《鴻門宴》（2011）等；他以《甜蜜蜜》（1996）與《玻璃之城》（1998）提名香港電影金像獎最佳男主角獎。2002年，黎氏主演的《三更之回家》獲頒台灣金馬獎最佳男主角獎；2004年，由他兼任創作及製作總監的《大城小事》獲頒長春電影節最佳男演員獎。黎明近年自組公司提拔歌唱界新秀，2006年開始多次執導旗下歌星和他演出的MV。他近年主演的影片有《王朝的女人．楊貴妃》（2015）等。2017年，黎明推出首部自導自演的電影《搶紅》。2009年，黎氏獲香港特別行政區政府頒授銅紫荊星章嘉許。

Beijing-born actor and singer Leon Lai moved to Hong Kong at age six and was educated in both Hong Kong and England. In 1986, he won third prize in the 5th New Talent Singing Contest and joined TVB as a contract artist the same year. Named one of the “Four Heavenly Kings” of Cantopop, he has released more than 60 albums since 1989. Lai launched his film career in 1987, appearing in a host of romantic and heroic films, including Wicked City (1992), Fallen Angels (1995), Eighteen Springs (1997), A Hero Never Dies (1998), Bullets of Love (2001), Heroic Duo (2003), Forever Enthralled (2008) and White Vengeance (2011). He was nominated for Best Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards for Comrades, Almost a Love Story (1996) and City of Glass (1998); he won the Best Original Film Song award for the latter work. Lai was named Best Actor at Taiwan’s Golden Horse Awards for Three: Going Home (2002). He served as the creative and production controller for Leaving Me, Loving You (2004), and scooped the Best Actor Award at the Changchun Film Festival in China. In 2006, Lai scripted, directed and starred in the musical film A Melody Looking, which featured artists from his own music studio. His recent works include Lady of the Dynasty (2015). He was honoured with the Bronze Bauhinia Star by the Hong Kong Government in 2009.

葉德嫻早年活躍於歌廳舞台，其後進軍電視圈，於70年代末投身電影圈。葉德嫻在電視劇《獵鷹》（1982）與劉德華結緣，二人於電影《法外情》（1985）和《法內情》（1988）再度合作。1982年及1999年，葉氏分別憑《忌廉溝鮮奶》（1981）及《笨小孩》（1999）獲頒台灣金馬獎最佳女配角；1986年及1992年則分別以《花街時代》（1985）及《與龍共舞》（1991）獲頒香港電影金像獎最佳女配角。 2011年，葉德嫻接拍許鞍華執導的《桃姐》（2012），與劉德華在大銀幕上再結片緣，憑此片獲香港電影金像獎、台灣金馬獎、香港電影評論學會大獎、威尼斯影展國際電影節、愛沙尼亞塔林黑夜電影節、亞洲電影大獎和華語電影傳媒大獎等多個最佳女主角獎項，演藝事業再創高峰。2018年，葉德嫻憑《明月幾時有》再下一城，奪香港電影金像獎最佳女配角獎。
Ms Deanie Ip Tak Han

Born in Hong Kong, versatile actress and singer Deanie Ip worked as a club singer in the early years of her career before joining the television industry. She became involved in film in the late 1970s. She acted alongside Andy Lau in TV drama The Emissary (1982). The duo went on to collaborate in The Unwritten Law (1985) and The Truth (1988). In both 1982 and 1999, she was awarded Best Supporting Actress by Taiwan’s Golden Horse Awards for Cream Soda and Milk (1981) and Crying Heart (1999). She also won Best Supporting Actress for My Name Ain’t Suzie (1985) and Dances with the Dragon (1991) at the Hong Kong Film Awards. Thereafter, Ip moved to England with her husband and took a hiatus from acting. She reappeared on the big screen in director Ann Hui’s A Simple Life (2012), which landed her numerous Best Actress awards both regionally and internationally, including at the Hong Kong Film Awards, Golden Horse Awards, Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards, Venice Film Festival, Estonia’s Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, the Asian Film Awards and the Chinese Film Media Awards. In 2018, she won Best Supporting Actress for Our Time Will Come (2017) at the Hong Kong Film Awards.

Born in Hong Kong, actor Simon Yam was a model before joining TVB and starring in numerous classic TV dramas such as A House is Not a Home (1977), The Shell Game (1978) and Police Cadet II (1985). He began his movie career in the early 1980s. With his statuesque physique, Yam has portrayed cops and gangsters with flair in such films as Full Contact (1992), “The Young and Dangerous” series, The Mission (1999), Exiled (2006) and Sparrow (2008). Yam broke into Hollywood in 2003 with Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life. In 2004 and 2006, he won Best Actor at the Golden Bauhinia Awards for his performances in the Johnnie To-helmed PTU (2003) and Election (2005). In 2010, he won Best Actor for Ann Hui’s Night and Fog (2009) at the film festival in Spain, and another Best Actor for Echoes of the Rainbow (2010) at the Hong Kong Film Awards. In 2013, Yam directed his first film, Tales from the Dark 1 (2013).

Ms Kara Hui Ying Hung

Kara Wai was referred to Shaw Brothers by director Cheh Chang when she was just 17. The young actress first made a name for herself in The Brave Archer (1977) and another break came when director Lau Kar Leung cast her in a series of martial arts movies that included Mad Monkey Kung Fu (1979), Return to the 36th Chamber (1980) and Martial Club (1981). These and other titles drew on her kung fu skills and established her early on as a warrior-hero. In 1982, Hui was named Best Actress at the first Hong Kong Film Awards for My Young Auntie (1981). She scooped the same honour again for At the End of Daybreak (2009) and Happiness (2016). At the End of Daybreak won a host of other accolades, including Best Supporting Actress at Taiwan’s Golden Horse Awards and at the Asian Film Awards; and Best Actress at the Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards, the Chinese Film Media Awards, the Changchun Film Festival and the Vladivostok International Film Festival. In 1989, Hui began appearing on television as well as film. She participated in a number of serial dramas, predominantly as a supporting actress. It was only when she joined HKTV that she was cast in a leading role – in Incredible Mama (2015). Her more recent projects include Wu Xia (2011), Rigor Mortis (2013), Daughter (2015) and Mrs K (2017). Hui scooped her third Hong Kong Film Awards Best Actress honour for Happiness in 2017. She won Best Actress at the Golden Horse Awards for the first time in 2017 for Taiwanese production The Bold, the Corrupt, and the Beautiful. She was honoured with the Bronze Bauhinia Star by the Hong Kong Government in 2018.

Actress Carina Lau Kar Ling left her hometown of Suzhou in 1980 to settle in Hong Kong. In 1984, she joined TVB’s acting course and began putting her skills to the test in Police Cadet (1984) and other dramas. Lau’s first movie was Naughty Boys in 1986 and she appeared in several other films that contributed to her persona as a voluptuous seductress. She was nominated for Best Actress at the Hong Kong Film Awards for I’m Sorry (1989) and Gigolo and Whore (1991). By the 1990s, Lau had established herself as a top actress. In 1998, she won Best Actress at the Golden Bauhinia Awards for Intimates (1997). Days of Being Wild (1990) scooped her Best Actress in France’s Three Continents Festival while receiving Best Actress nominations at the Hong Kong Film Awards and Taiwan’s Golden Horse Awards. Curiosity Kills the Cat (2006) landed Lau Best Actress recognition at China’s Golden Rooster Awards in 2007. In 2011, she was named Best Actress at the Hong Kong Film Awards for the first time for Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame (2010). In 2017, Lau acted in, and became a first-time producer for, Dreams (2017).

Mr Louis Koo Tin Lok

Hong Kong-born actor Louis Koo started out as a model appearing in music videos. Joining TVB in 1993, he was cast in popular dramas such as At the Threshold of an Era (1999) and A Step into the Past (2001). In 2001, he found his way into the film industry, starring in Lost in Time (2003), Election (2005) and Connected (2008), among other titles. Protégé (2007) landed him Best Supporting Actor nominations at Taiwan’s Golden Horse Awards and the Hong Kong Film Awards. He received rave reviews for his breakthrough portrayal of a gangster father, a role spanning four decades of the character’s life, in Run Papa Run (2008). The film saw him nominated for Best Actor at the Golden Horse Awards and the Hong Kong Film Awards. Many of Koo’s other works, including Rob-B-Hood (2006), Overheard (2009) and Don’t Go Breaking My Heart (2011) were blockbusters in Mainland China and Hong Kong. More recently, he played a doting husband and caring dad in Little Big Master (2015). Koo won the overwhelming praise of the industry for his performance in Paradox (2017), claiming Best Actor at both the Hong Kong Film Awards and the Asian Film Awards in 2018. Koo has been an ardent promoter of Hong Kong cinematic arts. In 2013, he established his own studio, One Cool Film Production, and post-production company, One Cool Sound, to support Hong Kong film and young filmmakers, and to encourage professionals to do post-production work in Hong Kong, thereby creating employment opportunities for local film talent. Actor and singer Nicholas Tse was born in Hong Kong to veteran actors Patrick Tse Yin and Deborah Lee. He had an enviable start in his music and film career at just 16, making his award-winning screen debut in Young and Dangerous: The Prequel (1998), which earned him Best New Performer at the Hong Kong Film Awards. Tse enjoyed enormous success playing challenging roles in films such as Metade Fumaca (1999) and Bodyguards and Assassins (2009). The latter landed him Best Supporting Actor at the Asian Film Awards and the Hong Kong Film Awards, and also received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at Taiwan’s Golden Horse Awards. With New Police Story (2004), he scooped Best Supporting Actor at the Hundred Flowers Awards. In 2011, he took home Best Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards for The Stool Pigeon (2010),. 麥兜是香港創作的卡通人物，由謝立文創作，麥家碧繪畫。麥兜外型趣緻、性格可愛，加上故事地道，對白、歌曲惹笑，漫畫《麥兜故事》在2001搬上大銀幕，深受港人喜愛，麥兜自此成為家喻戶曉的卡通人物。
麥兜進一步後跳出漫畫的框架，除了成為電視電影的主角，更擔任文化教育的宣傳大使、商業推廣活動的代言人等，被視為香港動漫文化的象徵。同時麥兜一系列的電影屢獲中外重要影展大獎，麥兜愚笨卻純真的形象亦得以在香港地區以外傳播。

Mcdull is a Hong Kong cartoon character created by Brian Tse and Alice Mak. Mcdull carries adorable appearance and warm-hearted personality. With authentic stories, funny lines and songs, “My Life as Mcdull”, the first animated feature film adapted from Mcdull comics was released in 2001 and Mcdull has been deeply loved by Hong Kong people since then.
Today, Mcdull is no longer a simple cartoon character. He stars films and TV series, becomes ambassador of cultural education and spokesman of brand promotion, and is considered the symbol of Hong Kong cartoon culture. With Mcdull series films winning awards at major Chinese and international film festivals, the slow but sincere piglet Mcdull has gained increasing popularity outside Hong Kong.
The Mcdull statue at Avenue of Star has a base close to the ground, making Mcdull accessible to people. Mcdull statue points his finger towards the sky, making the best wishes to all.
Ms Teresa Mo Shun Kwan
毛舜筠女士

生於香港，最早於麗的電視的綜藝節目《Bang Bang新靈感》（1977）及與張國榮合演的單元劇《愛情故事》（1977）中亮相，並於電影《藝壇照妖鏡》（1977）初登大銀幕。
其後轉投佳藝電視拍攝長篇重頭劇《紅樓夢》（1978），飾演女主角林黛玉。佳藝倒閉後，於80年代初加盟電視廣播有限公司，參演電視劇包括《鹿鼎記》（1984）、《碧血劍》（1985）、《楊家將》（1985）、《他來自江湖》（1989）等。
90年代重返影壇，產量甚豐，並演出大量喜劇角色，其中以《92黑玫瑰對黑玫瑰》（1992）、《我愛扭紋柴》（1992）獲提名香港電影金像獎最佳女配角獎，其他為人熟悉作品包括《家有囍事》（1992）、《花田囍事》（1993）、《大富之家》（1994）等。
1994年與著名香港美術指導及導演區丁平結婚，婚後誕下兩個女兒，於90年代末暫別影壇，並移民加拿大。千禧年後回流並再度回歸銀幕，拍攝《小親親》（2000），即提名香港電影金像獎及台灣金馬獎最佳女配角獎，另有演出《大丈夫》（2003），及為荷里活動畫電影《海底奇兵》（2003）的「多莉」配音。其後憑《早熟》（2005）奪第25屆香港電影金像獎以及第11屆香港電影金紫荊獎最佳女配角獎，翌年再憑《老港正傳》（2007）再度提名香港電影金像獎最佳女主角。

Ms Teresa Mo Shun Kwan

Teresa Mo was born in Hong Kong, and her early television appearances for Rediffusion Television include variety shows and TV dramas starring opposite Leslie Cheung.
She made her film debut in What Price? Stardom (1977), after which she returned to television, playing the leading role of Lin Daiyu in Dream of the Red Chamber (1978), a sumptuous primetime drama by Commercial Television.
She joined Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) in the 1980s, starring in iconic TV dramas such as The Duke of Mount Deer (1984), Sword Stained with Royal Blood (1985), The Yang’s Saga (1985) and The Justice of Life (1989). Returning to the cinema, she built an impressive body of work in the 1990s, earning fame for her distinctive humour in 92 Legendary La Rose Noire (1992) and Now You See Love, Now You Don’t (1992), which brought her two nominations for Best Supporting Actress at the Hong Kong Film Awards. Her other well-known titles include All’s Well, Ends Well (1992), All’s Well, Ends Well Too (1993) and It’s a Wonderful Life (1994).
In 1994, she married famous art director/director Tony Au Ting Ping, and subsequently gave birth to two daughters, retreating from showbusiness in the late 1990s. She then migrated to Canada and returned to the big screen after the millennium, appearing in And I Hate You So (2000), which earned her nominations for Best Supporting Actress at both the Hong Kong Film Awards and the Golden Horse Awards. She also starred in Men Suddenly in Black (2003) and voiced the character of Dory for the Hong Kong release of the Hollywood animation film Finding Nemo (2003). 2 Young (2005) brought her more accolades, winning Best Supporting Actress at the 25th Hong Kong Film Awards and the 11th Golden Bauhinia Awards. She also scooped a Best Actress nomination at the Hong Kong Film Awards for Mr. Cinema (2007).
She joined TVB again in 2008, starring in sitcoms Off Pedder (2008) and Come Home Love: Dinner At 8 (2016). In 2018, she scooped Best Actress at the 37th Hong Kong Film Awards and the 58th Asian Film Awards for Tomorrow is Another Day. She recently opened a bakery shop after graduating from Le Cordon Bleu.
