A-Glow-Glow Macro Interactive Media Arts Exhibition
Let’s Go! Glow Lights at Avenue of Stars
Now, to turn lights on, clicking a light switch is out! Imagine yourself being a “switching gadget”, walk and move yourself around to glow lights and make sound for an art piece at the Avenue of Stars!
The spectacular “A-Glow-Glow Macro Interactive Media Arts Exhibition” will be arranged at Avenue of Stars from 11th to 20th April, as a joint collaboration by Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) and Microwave, a local art association. The award-winning multimedia artwork Volume is a creation by the UnitedVisualArtists (UVA), an internationally renowned art group from London, to demonstrate the relationship between visitors and light, sound and frequency, letting spectators experience the impact of media artworks on themselves and the environment.
Upon entering the Avenue of Stars, one will be able to experience Volume, a large-scale sculpture of light and sound, with an array of light columns positioned dramatically in a stage of about 132 square meters, bringing a stunning visual impact. Volume responds spectacularly to human movements, creating a series of audio-visual experiences.
“A-Glow-Glow Macro Interactive Media Arts Exhibition” is another large-scale interactive media arts show in Hong Kong after the well-responded “Body Movies” showcased at Avenue of Stars in 2006. Volume is a semi-permanent installation at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Don’t miss the chance to see for yourself the fun of this world-class interactive art!
